FAQ

How often do you clean the windows?

The majority of our domestic window cleaning customers are cleaned on a 4 weekly rota for optimal results. For larger commercial window cleaning we can accommodate the schedule you require.

Windows left wet!

After each clean your windows will be left wet and will need a short time to dry before leaving your windows sparkling. We do not use ordinary tap water, we use purified water that has had all contaminates removed. Our clean will remove all dirt and the pure water left on your windows will evaporate , leaving you with a spot free finish. The water fed pole method of cleaning allows us to clean your frames and sills at the same time as well as being able to reach hard to access windows safely from ground level. We are confident in our systems and leave all customers with a satisfaction guarantee.

How do I know when you’re coming next?

We offer a an automated text/email reminder the night before each visit. We may at times be plus or minus a day or two if we need to re-order our database but will always give prior notice.

Weather

Our pure water systems work in all weathers, therefore weather conditions are not an acceptable reasons for postponing our services. We offer an all year round regular service. We will clean your home/premises in all weather conditions including rain and low temperatures, however high winds ,Very heavy rain and deep snow do affect our services and schedule therefore we ask for some flexibility on time scale if these weather conditions arise.

Cleaning Frequencies

Once you have agreed to a 4 weekly all year round service, we are happy to supply a schedule of visit dates, however this is a guide indicating the week commencement date when we plan to visit, we cannot be held to a specific date or time. With such factors as public holidays, bad weather etc, it is not always possible to supply an exact date.

We will always try and be as reliable as we can for you but we also appreciate the customer being reliable. On the day of the clean it is too late to change your clean therefore if you turn our team away at the door or do not provide access to all of the property , we reserve the right to charge you full price.
Areas not cleaned for prolonged periods will be charged at an 8 or 12 weekly rate.

You can contact us the day before upon receipt of the appointment message reminder either by text or email to inform us of any areas not to be cleaned or if away on holiday, we can then adjust our schedule accordingly.

Payment

You are required to pay within 7 days of the cleaning date; to ensure this happens please pay for your regular window cleaning via GoCardless Direct Debit or by Cash on the day.

If non payment exceeds 28 days, we reserve the rights to suspend your cleaning or replace your slot on the round with another customer. If we then fail to receive payment within 90 days we have the right to contact a collection agency to recover the debt, you will then be liable for all related charges, collection fees and court related fees.

Scratched Glass after clean FAQ

The methods we use and have used along with the specialist brushes selected , are chosen so that it is not possible to scratch glass of any sort, whether new glass or skylights.

The brushes are made by a specialist company who have been supplying them to the WFP window cleaning industry for over a decade now and are made using PBT polyester bristles and nylon stocks. Both materials are not hard enough to scratch glass in use. They are also designed not to hold on to grit or stones in cleaning.

Why may scratching have appeared visible following our last visit? One reason may be that scratches can sometimes appear after a first few cleans with a pure water window cleaning system. Why is this? The scratching is usually already on the glass, but traditional cleaning methods allows detergent residue and dirt to remain in the scratch which makes it less visible under sunlight. When a window is properly cleaned with pure water, all of the residue and dirt is fully flushed out from all of the scratches. This then allows the sunlight to catch the facets of the scratch and it shows up - much like having a diamond ring cleaned will allow it to sparkle and shine more.
